Primal is running the 2027 Chicago Marathon as a St. Jude Hero.
Why he runs
Primal's father, Deepak Patel (1964 to 2026), donated to St. Jude for as long as Primal can remember. He kept donating even during his own fight with kidney cancer. Deepak passed away on February 24, 2026.
When Primal applied to run the Chicago Marathon for several charities, St. Jude was the only one that chose him. He feels that is his dad telling him to carry the legacy forward.
On September 27, 2026, he ran the Chicago Half Marathon in his dad's memory, wearing a shirt that read "Stay Humble, 1964 to 2026": his dad's words.
"Stay humble."
Deepak's words, carried into every mile.

The app
This training runs on Sadhana, a personal training app Primal designed and built with AI. It is named Sadhana, a Sanskrit word for disciplined daily practice done with intention. It plans his weeks, knows his strength days from his cardio days, and turns his workouts into the updates his supporters see.

Support the run
Primal has committed to raise at least $3,000 for St. Jude by October 11, 2027. Donations help St. Jude families with the costs insurance does not cover, like travel, housing, and food, so families can focus on their child.
Donate on GivenGainEvery dollar goes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through his official fundraising page.
